Arthur Underwood is a British composer and producer based in London. His work blends orchestral and electronic elements with a focus on strong melodic identity and narrative cohesion, crafting emotionally resonant sound worlds for screen and interactive media.
Currently active across multiple independent game projects, Arthur’s music explores atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional connection, with a particular interest in how melody and texture evolve in response to player experience.
His recent work includes an original score for Swallow, a short film directed by award-winning filmmaker Kat P. Curtis and starring Bafta-winning actress Cathy Tyson. Beyond composition, he is the founder of AUAUDIO, a production and mixing service dedicated to delivering high-quality sound for film, games, and narrative-driven media.
Arthur is presently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he continues to refine his approach to hybrid scoring and interactive composition. He is also developing his debut orchestral album, an exploration of modern thematic writing that bridges classical instrumentation and contemporary sound design.
Through his work, Arthur aims to create music that not only enhances the emotional core of a story but also establishes a distinct sonic identity for every world he scores.
